Tahitian Black Pearl is another popular member of the saltwater pearl family. Unlike the Akoya and South Sea saltwater pearls, Tahitian Black pearls are cultured in the black-lipped oyster (Pinctada margaritifera), the largest member of the pearl producing oyster family.
